The antibody determination is a serological detection of SARS-CoV-2-specific antibodies. The point in time at which the sample is taken in the course of the infection is essential, as virus-specific antibodies were only detectable in the majority of the patients examined so far from the second week after the onset of symptoms. The qualitative detection of IgG antibodies does not yet allow a clear statement about the infectivity or the immune status of the patient.
The tests are carried out exclusively by appointment and the total costs for the antibody detection are 84 euros.
